From an Osaka meetup to working applications
Rokid Japan Tour Osaka took place on September 13 at Umeda Tsutaya Books, bringing together product demonstrations, user stories, developer presentations, and an advance look at a new model.
A result from the Kansai AI Dojo community
In a short development period, Ding implemented five applications for Rokid glasses: an origami guide, visual assistance, Osaka train information, Shogi, and weather. His Shogi application was awarded first place in the developer program.
Kansai AI Dojo brings together developers, students, and AI practitioners in Kansai to move beyond discussion and build with real hardware. The award extends the prototyping and collaboration developed through activities including the September 6 Mini Hack.
Deepening practical work with Rokid
Unity Corporation and Rokid are continuing discussions beyond one-off events: identifying and supporting developers, prototyping with AIUI, and exploring applications grounded in everyday life, tourism, and work in Japan. The aim is to connect products from China with Kansai talent and Japanese field contexts while developing concrete themes for broader global collaboration.
Dialogue with HCI faculty
Unity is also in ongoing dialogue with faculty working in human–computer interaction at Ritsumeikan University and Kobe University, exploring possibilities for research, education, and field validation using Rokid glasses. These are faculty-level discussions at this stage and should not be read as an announcement of a formal institutional partnership or joint-research agreement.
